Supplement # FM 22 - 5

( Pamphlet )

MANUAL of the CARBINE

( m 1 )

this was a VERY limited issue supplement-

to be added to older versions of the official ‘ INFANTRY DRILL REGULATIONS ‘

Changes no. 1

War department may 2 1942

12 pages  --

( this pamphlet predates the actual issuance of the .30 carbine …

The first M1 Carbines were delivered in July of 1942, with initial priority given to troops in the European theatre of war )

section VI

MANUAL OF THE CARBINE (added )

with drawings of the proper carrying of the m1 carbine ,

Including the scarce ‘ carbine holster ‘

this is just a 12 page supplement -

Not very informative,

But is a extremely scarce ,

nonetheless

An early m1 .30 cal carbine collectible

It’s likely that only a few hundred were ever printed ,..

And it’s even more likely that only a handful have survived !

A must have for advanced m1 carbine collectors

Very scarce -

You just won't find these on the market at any price today ,..

few were printed ,.. and most have simply been lost over time

it shows light minor age & wear

(After all ,… it is over 80 years old ,

and survived the war ! )

 -  Don't pass it up !
