This is an original 1952 or 1953 hardcover printing (with original dust jacket) of "Cathedrales de France," written by Yvan Christ and published by Editions des Deux Mondes and featuring dozens of sharp, large, black & white photographs of cathedrals all over France, with French and English captions; all other text is in French. This big book measures approximately 10" wide and 13" tall.

The copy being offered is in fair condition overall. As you'll see in my first six photos, the covers have moderate wear, with dented corners and darkening & rubbing along the edges. The dust jacket has substantial wear, including scratches, wrinkles, creases, smudging, and heavy chipping/tearing along the edges. Notice in my 3rd and 6th photos that the back panel of the jacket has the worst of the damage, with deep creases, taped tears, and a large chunk torn off the bottom. Other than some writing on the first title page (see my 5th photo), the pages are clean, and they are also crisp and strongly bound.
