Description
This is an piece of precious opalized wood from an uncommon opal locality in Australia. The White Cliffs Opal Fields produce petrified wood that has been infilled with opal. These are much like virgin valley opalized wood of Nevada but all of the material is stable. The wood is porous but takes a nice polish.
This specimen is photographed both wet and dry.
We strive to take the best pictures possible that truly represent the specimen. You will always receive the specimen in the picture unless otherwise stated. We do not alter the colors of the mineral/gemstone in photoshop. We do commonly remove or alter the background to remove anything that will distract from the center piece of the picture.
