HOW IT WORKS

1.     Send us an eBay message with the following to get your quote:

•  Your vehicle registration number
•  Clear picture of the ecu sticker
•  A picture or a list of fault codes

Please Note: If your vehicle does not have any communication with the ECU i.e.no codes are being read from ECU/ communication issue with DME or ECU timeout then a different route is required. 80% of ECU data can be recovered through our Bench Testing Service (BTS) which includes various communication methods including, disassembly of the unit, board cleaning, board reflow and minor visible repairs. This service costs £70 should the service be successful then this is deducted from our cloning cost however if deemed beyond economical repair then the charge is payable.

2.     Post both units to us:

• Please ensure both units are clearly marked “original” and “replacement”
• Ensure to include your vehicle registration number, contact number and email with return address
• Use Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm

Once we have received your units, we will complete the agreed repairs and have it ready for return within 24 hours (plug and play) excluding weekends an invoice for payment will be sent.

ECU cloning is a technical process where existing data is duplicated onto a replacement second hand ECU. The data transfer allows you to replace a broken/faulty ECU with a second hand ECU unit. This process avoids you paying expensive bills for a replacement unit from a dealership.

The ECU is the engine’s brain; generally, the car engine won’t turn over or start when the critical electronic connections stop functioning. Most dealerships only have the ability to program new ECU computers and will not be able to repair one that has already been programmed.

We can transfer all data from a damaged ECU to a replacement ECU. Which is the most cost-effective way (approx. 10% of what it costs at a main dealer)
