A Japanese girls metal unit. The members are SU-METAL and MOAMETAL. Formed in 2010, they made their major debut in 2013 with the single "Ijime, Dame, Zettai". Since then, they have been making waves both at home and abroad, with their second album "METAL RESISTANCE" reaching the US Top 40 and becoming the first Japanese to perform solo at Wembley Arena in the UK. They have accompanied Metallica and other tours, becoming a global metal act. In October 2018, they transitioned to their current two-member lineup. The following year, their third album "METAL GALAXY" reached 13th place in the US and 19th place in the UK. In December 2020, they released their 10th anniversary best album "10 BABYMETAL YEARS" and made their first appearance at the Red and White Song Battle at the end of the same year.
