Large 1 1⁄2" lexan disk. The larger, hard disk allows the mallet to rebound from drum head to drum head quickly without contacting the rims. 

Great for articulating scrapes, sweeps and windmills.

Features a nonslip grip.

The packaging has some creases but is unopened and the product in great condition.
