Pair of DCM Time Frame TF-250 speakers. Original owner, purchased these new in the late 1980s. These have been in indoor storage for years. Recently tested them and they are in good working condition. These are good quality, attractive speakers, but I just don't use them anymore and I'd like them to be in a home with someone who will use and appreciate them instead of sitting in our storage room.

Exterior condition is good overall. One speaker has some light marks on the fabric cover, as seen in the main photo and close-up in photo 3.

Selling as a pair only -- will not split these up.

Here is a general description of the TF-250:

USA company DCM enjoyed great success in the mid 80s with their “TimeFrame” series speakers, tall slim columns that looked unlike anything else on the market.

An evolution of their earlier “Timewindow” products, TimeFrame TF-250 speakers are a tall, very slim enclosure with minimalist design cues – a solid piece of oak at floor level, another solid timber top plate, and then a four sided non removable “grille” based around foam padded dark brown grille cloth.

The speakers use a 6.5” woofer, and a dome tweeter. Smooth bass response is coaxed out of the smallish woofer and slim line enclosure by using a transmission line design that terminates in a tube outlet near the bottom of the speaker.

The units have a small footprint of 320mm x 140mm deep (plus a fold out stabilising arm at the rear of base) and stand a full 860mm high.

  • 8 ohm, 100W per channel
  • Frequency response: 50Hz - 20kHz
  • Efficiency: 89dB/1W/1m
  • 6.5" woofer
  • Oak frame with a kickstand at the base
