Believe to be a very rare piece of Americana. It appears the matted wooden frame is handcarved with excellent detail intricate craftsmanship .
Good color graphics. This unique piece will make a nice addition for collectors of antique and American history. The advertisement is for Dixon carburet of iron stove polish , the sales person reads brother Gardner meeting at the Lime Kiln club , Paradise Hall .
copyright date 1886 also and very small print( left of copyright date ) reads Donaldson Brothers, New York . The back paper frame Seal has frame makers stamp that reads ; Paul Gatto gallery 300 Main St., Farmingdale, NY . The only flaw I see is small chips on inner frame next to glass or poly carbon front.
chips under paint look like plaster type base?
Where are you going to find another one like this one .?
