The Arlo Pro 4 camera works without a SmartHub and connects directly to your Wi-Fi network. To store local recordings a SmartHub and compatible USB device is required. 


NOTE: Arlo cameras can be placed up to 300ft (90m) away from the Smarthub. The maximum line of sight range of 300 feet is reduced by each wall, ceiling, or other major obstruction between the camera and the base station.
