    How to Replace an Oil Pan Gasket?

    1. Remove splash shield and bellhousing cover while oil is draining.
    2. In front-wheel-drive vehicles, the oil pan should be mated to the transaxle.
    3. Confirm all oil pan bolt locations.
    4. Remove the wheel well liner pieces for access to bolts on the outboard passenger side.
    5. Remove all bolts, and install the new oil pan gasket replacement.
    6. Scrape off any gasket residue and clean all sealing surfaces thoroughly with a solvent.
    7. Reattach any accessory brackets, refill the crankcase with oil, start the engine and inspect for leaks.
