A Chinese blue and white bowl dating to the Ming dynasty, Hongzhi period or thereabout, c.1500. WIth a classic floral scrolls and auspicious object design. Sanskrit characters border the rim.
Condition:
- There is a hairline crack to the side (about 4cm long)
- There is an old repaired hole to the well. Repaired with a glass bead and Japanese urushi lacquer
- Several glaze gaps, adhered kiln grit and pinholes
- General wear and scratches from age and use
Measures about 14.5cm across.
