Wonderful Victorian silver plated swing handle basket stands about 4" tall on elaborate paw feet, and measures about 7 1/4" in diameter. Hexagon shaped, the basket has some floral engraving on a satin finished interior, the rest of the piece has a shiny finish, and is accented with lots of period embellishments and details. Marked on the bottom "WR (William Rogers) Quadruple New York" the piece dates to somewhere in the 19th century, and has probably been re plated, but not recently. In good, as found estate condition, there are a few tiny indentations  to the bowl of the basket, along with a very small spot to the finish, but overall, an impressive survivor.

A fine addition to a silver collection, and a great serving piece to use today, the basket is offered with out reserve.
