| An elegant and one-of-a-kind
platinum, diamond, and enamel lapel watch signed Tiffany and Co with a
Verger Freres movement. This antique piece was made in circa 1910- an
Edwardian piece.
This special lapel watch is made from platinum and has a Tiffany Dial. The watch measures 29 mm wide and hangs 64 mm long. This ultra thin watch measures 8 mm thick. The case back and bezel have a blue violet guilloche enamel with a laurel pattern throughout. The hands are tempered blue, the crown sports a blue sapphire cabochon. The diamonds on the brooch and adorning the case are excellent quality old mine cuts. The 18 jewel mechanical winding movement with 5 adjustments was made by the famous jewelry and watch company Verger Freres. They were considered the "jewelers jeweler" of the later 19th and early 20th century, leading the way in Art Deco and Belle Epoque themed jewelry. The watch is in exceptional condition considering its age. The enamel is free from any chips, cracks, or nicks. The piece shows some signs of wear but is in good condition throughout. | |
