The Minneapolis Millers of the American Association ended the 1948 season with a record of 77 wins and 77 losses, finishing fifth in the AA.

The Millers scored 932 runs and conceded 968 runs, most in the circuit. Babe Barna led Minneapolis with 23 home runs, while Elbie Fletcher, Andy Gilbert and Charlie Ray each walloped 15 or more also. Babe Barna drove in 83 runs. Charlie Ray paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .305 clip. Otey Clark topped the squad with 12 wins, and Bill Ayers recorded a 4.61 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
