Henry VIII is nearly a 13" stationary resin historical character doll (including his wooden base) or figure that was handmade in England by NIADA and BDA doll artist Ann Parker circa the 1960's-1980's.  Henry VIII still wears his "English Costume Dolls// Ann Parker// Hand Made in England" hang tag on his left wrist.  He is a well sculpted historical character doll with accurate facial detailing, painted hair and beard, and "iconic" regal costuming sewn from richly hued fabrics, gold embellished ribbons, and fur accents by talented seamstresses.  The white plumes decorating Henry's hat are "molting" though, his shoes are gently flaked, and his resin sustains light "dimpling" from the manufacturing process.  Previously owned by an adult collector, Henry VIII remains in sturdy condition with dust and discoloration from display, age, and/or storage.  Sculpted and designed with careful attention to authenticity, Henry VIII will make a handsome addition to a collection of historical portrait character dolls.
