6) Regulates the oil by pass circuit of the high pressure oil pump. It is an electromagnetic valve that opens and closes to allow high pressure oil into the injectors. This enables the PCM to control fuel delivery by increasing the speed in which the IPR valve operates thus, being a critical component in your vehicle system.
