"Dog Patron" is a set of the first charity postage stamps of Ukraine. The amount of the charitable contribution is UAH 8 and is marked on each postage stamp with a "+" sign. Every person buying the product will contribute to purchasing a mechanized demining machine and to supporting animal shelters.

Patron ( born 20 July 2019) is a detection dog who works for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. 

He is a Jack Russell Terrier. Jack Russells are great bomb-sniffing dogs because they have an acute sense of smell from their years of being bred as hunting dogs. As small dogs, they can get into tight areas and their body weight doesn’t set off land mines.

Patron first came to prominence during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, during which Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky awarded him the Order for Courage for his work in locating and defusing unexploded ordnance left behind by russian troops. 

Today, the dog is recognized by its chevron body and name. He received this name almost immediately when he got to his master. However, the dog is not a service dog and does not receive a salary. Pyrotechnicians keep a close eye on the Patron's path, which simply never veers off to the side and helps to find a large number of standard projectiles.
