2303 x 1piece .** A NEW, UNIQUE ITEM TO COVENTRY AUTO COMPONENTS.  SUPPLIED FLAT TO ROLL TO SHAPE **  The often missing steering column, aluminium Gauntlet or Cuff.  This unique cover is made up to suit your spec. XK120, then it is trimmed in leather to match your interior as shown above. This tubular trim hides the steel outer steering column as it emerges from the bulkhead in the cabin.

We have patterned this from an original we had here in our stock, for you to roll as a LEFT HAND DRIVE or RIGHT HAND DRIVE version as needed, SO IT IS SUPPLIED FLAT. Roll it around a 2" diameter cylinder (rolling pin) to get a uniform shape. Use our bend-over lugs to secure (or weld together if you wish) it. Once it is rolled to the shape desired and joined, then a slight squashing may be used to give the wide end it's oval shape to the dashboard. Trim any unwanted pieces off, to square it up, then it is leather wrapped (glueing this on will also bind it together). The small end then has a chrome trim ring fitted (2300) over it (NOT INCLUDED), to butt up against the other  ring that is on the column spring (2210 as in the additional drawing). The large tab is screwed under the dash to secure it in place.  Original Reference : BD8514 or BD8515

ADDITIONAL NOTE : If you are not sure which way to roll it, cut a cardboard template from it and mock it up first, BEFORE rolling the aluminimum.
