    • The canister purge valve is installed between the car’s fuel tank and the engine as part of the engine gasoline evaporation control system (EVAP)
    • The working principle of the canister purge valve is that the ECU computer turns on or off the ground circuit of the solenoid valve at a certain frequency according to the different operating conditions of the engine. The canister purge valve meters this air flow according to the working condition of the engine.
    • When fuel evaporates from the fuel system of a gasoline engine, noxious hydrocarbons are released into the environment. The Permitted  level of these hydrocarbon emissions is Limited by emissions Legislation.
    • Task
    • In order to minimize hydrocarbon evaporative emissions
    • When the engine is turned off, the car activated carbon canister starts to absorb the oil vapor evaporating from the fuel tank and is firmly locked in the activated carbon micropores in the canister to prevent the oil vapor from escaping into the atmosphere.
    • At the same time, when the car is started, the solenoid valve opens to release the adsorbed fuel vapor as fuel to the intake pipe and enter the engine for combustion.
    • Therefore, the canister purge valve can reduce the fuel consumption of the vehicle.
