Phra Kring – The Sacred Medicine Buddha, also known as Phra Buddha 'Bhaisajayaguru'.

XXX Dedicated to the higher spiritual practice, his face reflects a serene expression, featuring a well-rounded face, with almond-shaped eyes downcast, curved eyebrows meet above a prominent nose, and contoured lips appear smiling. The head is covered by pin-size hair curls, surmounted by a conical-shaped 'Ushnisha', topped by a smooth conical ornament finial.

XXX He is shown wearing a long Sanghati robe worn diagonally over the left shoulder, graced with and secured by a wide end fold draped down to his midsection, and as always is depicted bare footed.

Its presence in Thailand’s Theravada tradition can be traced back to the days when Chinese migrants and businessmen ventured into the enchanting Kingdom of Siam. Among their rituals, paying homage to Phra Buddha Bhaisajayaguru became a popular practice, seeking protection and prosperity for their journeys and ventures. As fate would have it, many of these Chinese settlers eventually made Thailand their permanent home.
