If the locks does not pop up, it has detected a ferrous metal inside the cabinet door. Simply move the lock away until the locks can pop up, and install the lock in that position.

Does this scratch your cabinets?

The magnet it pretty powerful and make contact by hovering over the lock on the inside. Rubbing would scratch your white finish but rubbing is not required to use these stronger vmaisi brand magnets.

Is it easy to remove? Will it stick the painting of the furniture?

Yes they remove clean with alcohol. You need to be careful taking them off, to not peel off any part of your cabinet.

Some locks are not staying in the lock position. Is this a defect?

It turns out the the metal cabinet knob or possibly the metal screw holding the knob had become magnetized. So just moved the lock about a half an inch further away from the metal knob and then it worked!

Drawers of my dresser does not even close properly. How to solve the issue?

For inset drawers, the included tool aids in placing the catch deep enough to allow the drawer to close. Most of the dresser drawers required to mount the lock sideways (it still functions!). The included inset ruler tool works well to solve this.

Unboxing was a little intimidating, I opted for trial and error for installing as the directions seemed like too much to read.

The beauty of this product is that you can reuse them over and over. A lot of the pieces come with a adhesive back, which is super easy to just peel off and stick onto your cabinet. If you take the two pieces and simply put them together and see how the latch works, it becomes extremely simple to install them. I have found that the adhesive is incredibly strong as my toddler is not able to pull open the cupboards (nor could my father in law! Who ended up ripping the door open in frustration. The pieces were still in working condition.)

If you are moving, or one does happen to wear and fall off, there are multiple replacement adhesives that you can put back onto the latch and stick to your cupboard again. And if you end up running out of adhesives, it comes with screws! You can literally reuse them over and over and over. The magnets (2) that comes with them also have a little adhesion sticker on the back so you can stick to a cabinet or wherever you need, they also stick great to the fridge. We have wooden cabinets and they’re easily powerful enough to get to the latch behind the door.

We have been using them for a few months now and have not had to replace any due to wear, my toddler pulls at the cupboards probably daily.

Truthfully I don’t think I could stomach paying 60 dollars for them but I found they went on sale frequently. They’re worth 40 dollars if your sanity is at question and you’re tired of constantly pulling your child from a cabinet they’re not supposed to be in.
