Formed in 1960, mostly by students from Henry Clay High School, the Torqués spent the decade as one of Lexington, Kentucky's premier party bands. Their electrifying stage show drew audiences throughout the upper South and as far north and east as New Jersey. The band ended its initial run in 1968. Thirty years later, though, the Torqués reunited with many of the original members and a few new ones as well. Told in their own words and illustrated with more than fifty photos, this is the story of nearly 60 years in the lives of the Torqués: the adventures, the mischief, the tunes, the friendships and the joy of rock and roll.
