DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION

Up for sale is an antique large heavy rib mortar & pestle. I think it is made of bronze. The mortar measures just over 4.5” OD and stands about 3” high. It weighs 2370 grams. The pestle measures about just over 9.25” long and weighs 1160 grams. Together they weigh 3530 grams or about 7 Lbs 12 oz.  

Please note the condition of the ribs. They have been bent in places and there appears to be some separation along the edges with the mortar but they do not feel loose in any way feeling firm and well connected to the mortar. Also note the considerable marks, knock and scrapes to both the mortar and pestle. It has a lot of character from being well used in the past. It is sold as is as a collector piece so please ask any questions you might have before buying the item. I mainly sell used older items including antiques, collectibles and oddities so please expect some signs of wear from use. I will identify or describe any unusual or notable wear and damage in the description of the item or in the photographs but please email me if you have specific concerns I have not addressed.

Domestic Sales: Please let me know if you’re unhappy with any item(s) for any reason and I will refund you your money less my shipping costs once I receive the item(s) back. If there is damage, or I have not described it accurately, or shown defects or the product well I will do a complete refund and pay for your return shipping.

International Sales: I ship through the Ebay International Shipping Program. Please refer to their policies for specifics that apply to the buyer.

Multiple purchases will be combined for shipping when possible. I might discount for multiple purchases. Please contact me first before buying so that we can adjust the prices. If you want to ship to a PO Box please check with me before combining purchases as some items can only be shipped by FedEx or UPS and they do not deliver to PO Boxes.
