The Unreleased White Astronaut With Blue Neck Plate Was Designed By The LEGO SPACE Design Team in 1978 For Their First Release of The “Classic Space” Set in 1979.

Featuring A White Torso Bearing The LEGO SPACE Logo In Red and Gold, White Space Glove Hands, A Yellow Classic Space Printed Head Piece, White Hips and Legs Bottom, and The Lego Blue Space Jetpack Neck Plate. An Iconic Design That Was Slightly Modified In Later Designs by Replacing The Neck Plate With Removable AirTanks That Could Be Fastened On The Mini Figures By Securing Them To The Neck Post Before Applying The Head Piece.
