Shutter speed tester for 35mm film cameras (vertical-travel and horizontal-travel shutters)


This is a simple shutter speed tester for focal-plane shutter and 35mm film cameras. This product comes with an LED light. With a shutter tester, you can see if your camera fits the international standards(ISO 516-1986) for film camera. Our shutter tester is designed to provide more precise measurements than those specified in that international standard. Let's check!

Is your goal simply to understand the exposure time with the focal plane shutter? If your purpose in measuring shutter speed is to appropriately adjust the shutter speed of the focal plane shutter, Please read the numbers displayed on the screen labeled "Front.C" and "Rear.C". The two numbers are the running time of the front curtain and rear curtain. The lower these numbers, the faster the curtain movement. (The slower the curtain moves, the higher these numbers will be) Furthermore, with two optical sensors, it is also possible to know how much exposure bias occurs between the right and left (or top and bottom) of the image plane. Based on this information, you can decide whether to increase (or decrease) the tension of the front curtain or the rear curtain.

I used this tester to maintain the shutter of my camera.

As a result, I was able to take a satisfying photo.
