Drilling or adjustments may still be required during installation.

GLOSS BLACK PAINTED PRODUCTS (If opted):

Standard paint is included unless otherwise specified. If you require show-quality paintwork, please write us through eBay Messages in advance for a quote and availability.

CHROME (If opted):

This is spray chrome i.e. a painted finish designed to resemble real chrome. It is not the same as hard chrome plating, and should not be expected to match in durability or appearance.

CARBON FIBER (If opted):

Products listed with a carbon fiber in title are fiberglass parts (unless specified) coated with carbon fiber-style hydrographic film, not made of real carbon fiber. These are for aesthetic purposes only and will not match the performance or exact look of genuine carbon fiber. However, we do make real carbon fiber parts.

METAL PARTS, SURFACE & FINISH (if included):

Metal parts such as brackets are generally supplied unpainted or powder coated, and may show surface rust or oxidation, regardless of listed photos.

Stainless steel / Titanium parts (if included) may change color from heat.

NOTE ON LASER-CUT PARTS (if included): Laser-cut unpolished parts may have scuff marks, scratches, sharp edges, burrs, discoloration, or surface imperfections due to the cutting process. These are normal and do not affect function. Finishing (sanding, polishing, painting) is recommended before installation for best appearance and safety.

Polished metal items (if included) may have light buffing marks, scuffs, or fabric residue, and may require a final clean-up.

CAST METAL PARTS (if included):

Due to the casting process, items may have minor imperfections such as dings, dents, pores, or surface marks. These are normal characteristics and do not affect the structural integrity of the part. Each piece is slightly unique, adding to its custom character.

FIBERGLASS PRODUCT DISCLAIMER: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

Most of our fiberglass products are made using the hand-lay process, a widely used and trusted technique employed in over 95% of fiberglass manufacturing worldwide, including in lightweight aircraft, large ships, boats, canoes, and parts for buses, trucks, trains, cars, and motorcycles.

Since this is a completely manual process, there is always a possibility of defects or imperfections. While we strive for flawless products and many of our parts have no issues at all, some units may have a few, one, or even several of the concerns listed below. This variation is a normal characteristic of handmade fiberglass parts. Do not expect the product to look or function like a mass-produced item right out of the box.

All fiberglass products will be supplied unpainted (unless otherwise specified), typically in gel-coat, bare, or primer finish, in white, black, grey or other, regardless of the color shown in listing photos. Actual color/finish may differ from pictures. Gel-coat is a sandable base surface, and it may have scratches or appear used, but this is normal and not indicative of prior use.

Installation and Finishing Requirements:

The following preparation steps may be necessary before painting or fitting:

Sanding, prep-work, stretching, compressing, squeezing, or expanding the part to correct minor warpage or shrinkage (the item may appear asymmetrical).

Priming and painting to your desired color (at your cost).

Inner surfaces of parts may appear rough or unattractive and may require prep and painting.

To ensure proper fitment, you may need to perform any, few, none or all of the following tasks, often requiring professional help and at additional cost to the customer:

Cutting, grinding, finishing, trimming, filing

Enlarging or drilling holes (we may or may not pre-drill unless specified by the customer at the time of ordering)

Cutting tail light slots

Applying body filler (bondo), sanding, scuffing, scrubbing, fiber filling

Fixing or relocating broken or bent mounting tabs or brackets

Aligning or customizing OEM or aftermarket/new seats to match airbox covers (especially for V-Rod and Softail models)

Adding hardware such as:

Nuts, bolts, washers, spacers, tabs, lugs, bungs, clips, brackets, rivets, screws, mesh, grills, or other custom fittings

All / none / some of the the above must be done before painting.

Common Surface Imperfections (May Be Present)

Items may have one or more of the following, all of which are normal for fiberglass products and require finishing work before paint:

Scratches, scuff marks, broken areas

Pinholes, burrs, unfinished edges or areas

Discoloration, surface flakes, dents, grease marks, fingerprints, dust

Uneven surfaces, waves, sagging, porosity, craters, pockmarks

Fisheyes, air bubbles, orange peel, wrinkles, chalking, fading

Spotting, surface distortion, warping, dimples

Loose fibers, broken or loose mounting points

Delamination of surface layer, mold parting lines or creases

Resin tearing, blisters, blushing, heat lines, sticky or uncured resin

Poor leveling, air pockets, pre-release issues

Print-through patterns from fiber reinforcement

Stress cracks, packaging marks, pits, chips, cracks

Additionally, because clear resin is sometimes used, light may pass through fiberglass parts, this is normal and not a defect.

These characteristics are common with fiberglass parts and may vary from part to part. Some items may have a few of these issues, while others may have none at all. If you're planning to do DIY installation, please research fiberglass handling and finishing beforehand. For best results, professional installation and finishing are strongly recommended.
