Bill of lading, oblong format, 8.5 x 14 inches, printed in black on white. Shipping was completed 'via Chicago & North Western; Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific; Chicago, Burlington & Quincy R. Rds. in connection with Union & Central Pacific R. Rds.' The California Fast Freight Line was a private line operated by several different railroads connecting with the Union and Central Pacific. Signed by E. Hawley at bottom of bill. Very good copy. Bill has been previously folded in quarters.
