2015-2020 Dodge Charger Carrier Bearing Replacement
Engine 3.6L / V6, 5.7L / V8
Center of mounting hole to center of mounting hole: 7.372"
Bracket width: 1.623"
Internal diameter: 1.181"
Please note that this carrier bearing will require a drive-line shop or someone with prior knowledge working on driveshafts
The process requires tapping off the dust cap attached to the center shaft CV Joint, in order to access the spline.
The spline will have a hidden snap ring that needs to be removed in order to release the two halves of the driveshaft.
If you cannot see the snap ring, you could remove a few ball bearings which would expose the snap ring position.
Thereafter the shaft will separate and you can gain access to remove the old carrier bearing.
If you have a machine press in the workshop, the shaft can also be separated by destroying the old snap ring through forced separation.

Step 1
Establish what style of Universal Joint you are working with. This is important, since u-joints have a different way of measuring depending on the style of u-joint that you have. The way that you measure the u-joint will translate into how you measure the other components you may need. ALWAYS use a set of Vernier Calipers or Micrometers, tape measures will never produce accurate results! These are mechanical parts and require precision

After comparing the Type of U-Joint in Step 1)
Measure your u-joint in the correct manner and identify what series you have
