For sale is a very rare 1926 season American Baseball League Boston Red Sox Fenway Park 5¢ Score Card/Program. Aside from the printed year there is no specific date mentioned in the booklet but the opposing team was the Philadelphia Athletics.
This is an original program/score card taken from a 1920s-1930s scrapbook belonging to a couple from the Boston area; this measures just shy of 10" long and about 6.5" wide; 12 half pages (if you include covers).
Fair to good vintage condition as shown - intact but some wear. Front has note written by original owner/game attendee in pen that reads "My first real baseball game at Fenway Park with Tommy Ferguson, Sept. 1925" (interestingly this note seems to be incorrect as this is the 1926 score card). Some small tears and chips throughout as shown; bottom page corners and reverse have some more notable issues including some staining from adhesives and a few larger tears - the worst tear is on the bottom of the back cover edge that goes through the word "out" in the Sinclair ad. Some vertical creasing visible in the pages. Score card page itself is unused; aside from the note on the front cover there are no other pen or pencil markings.
Again, photos are of the exact program available for sale so please have a close look for best sense of condition and let me know should you have any questions prior purchase.
I have a few other related Boston area sports ephemera pieces from the 1920s and 1930s (magazines, tickets, programs) available/soon to be available in separate eBay postings including amateur, college, and professional sports that came from the same collection. Please let me know if you are interested in a combined purchase.
