This is a rare April 28th, 1930 programme (playbill) from the two-week, Provincial Tour engagement of the COLE PORTER musical revue "WAKE UP AND DREAM!" at the Theatre Royal in Birmingham, England. (The Original West End production opened March 27th, 1929 at the London Pavilion and ran for 263 performances while simultaneously playing on the road. The Original Broadway production opened December 30th, 1929 at the Selwyn Theatre in New York City and ran for 136 performances.) ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) The year is written at the top of the cover, there is a bent corner at the top right, a light vertical crease, the staple is missing and there is moderate edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
