Vintage W Eagle Brass Belt Buckle ☆ Made in U.S.A..

We have never sold a belt buckle and do not.know much about this.  Its heavy and measures approx 4-4.5" wide and maybe 3.5" tall. Has a big "W" on the back and says made in USA. We picked this up from an old farmhouse in Reed City,MI. The house was built in 1883. No idea if this is brass or silver plated? The back looks like brass but the front looks like old silver around the border and a glossy copperish/sterling looking finish on the leaves around the eagle.
