Upgrade the Original Steel Parts to Lighter Custom Rust Proof BLURPLE Anodized Titanium Versions.

BLUE + PURPLE MIXED = BLURPLE COLOR CHANGING EFFECTS!!!

ON ONE ANGLE IT WILL LOOK BLUE

ON ANOTHER ANGLE IT WILL LOOK PURPLE

AND ON OTHER ANGLES IT WILL BE MIXED, LOOKING BLURPLE.

This set is very hard to do and involves many processes and often burns up parts
to achieve the result, therefore costing a bit extra. However it looks amazing in real life.
Photos can't justify what your eyes can see in real life.
So please take the photo as a color guide only.

This Custom Titanium 22 Piece Parts Set is a direct replacement for
all the Benchmade Osborne 940-1 Series knives.

This set won't fit the Aluminium Scaled flat backspacer version of the 940 & 943 Osborne knives.
I can do a custom 940 or 943 set if wanting it for those versions. Please contact me for details.

This 22pc parts set will also fit aftermarket customized scales as long
as the aftermarket scales can use the original stock sized 940-1 parts
and the original sized round standoffs.

These custom parts are not designed to fit Cloned or Fake Benchmade knives.
Do not buy these parts for any cloned or fake knives as they probably won't fit.

Anodizing Notes:

BLURPLE is the hardest color to anodize.
This color can vary on single parts to full sets from a more Blue tone to a more
Bright Purple tone. I have been anodizing parts for over 10 years. Yet it is still a
challenge to achieve this color. I am OCD about things and have almost perfected
it and I will do my best to keep the color as consistent as possible within any set
purchased as many things affect the process. Like ambient temperature, age of
chemical mix, length of time anodizing, voltage, pre-cleaning procedure, voltage
contact etc. (I am often re-doing it a few times to get it right, or wasting parts or
throwing away parts in the process, it can easily take around 2 hours per set to
get right) Blurple is also very hard to capture on a photograph as it's true color
may look different under different lighting conditions or on different angles or
even on different screens when being viewed. Please take this a general color
range only. As in real life it looks brighter due to titanium's metallic surface
reflecting through the color.

Purchasing Individual Parts vs The Full Set of BLURPLE Parts.

It is best to order ALL the BLURPLE parts at the same time. So it will be in the same
anodizing batch and match much better than if ordered at a later date individually.

* By placing an order for this BLURPLE part you are accepting there could be a variation in color to what is pictured.

Please note: I am consistently improving each batch of part sets as time goes on.
There might be slight color changes and machining improvements to what is pictured.

Other Possible Custom Anodizing Colors:

As I can do this set in about 20 other anodized colors.

Other Colors Such As: purple, yellow, maroon, copper, natural raw titanium, light blue,
brass, dark blue, bronze, green, teal, gold, ice blue, pink, blue-green, magenta, yellow-green etc.

Installation Notes:

To install this 22pc Set, good quality Torx T6 and T10 tools will be needed.
(Such as Wiha Torx tools) Please note: A bit of non-permanent thread locking glue,
plumbers tape or even a drop of nail polish is recommended on the screw's thread.
Just incase it comes off over time.

 

INSTALLATION WARNING:

BE PREPARED TO TAKE YOUR WHOLE KNIFE APART IN ORDER TO INSTALL THESE PARTS.

THE AXIS LOCKING SYSTEM IS QUITE FIDDLY TO TAKE APART AND RE-INSTALL.

THERE ARE 2 WIRE SPRINGS HOLDING IT ALL TOGETHER.
SO BE CAREFUL NOT TO LOSE THESE SPRINGS AS THEY ARE VITAL FOR A FUNCTIONING AXIS LOCK.

THE AXIS LOCK BAR COMES ALREADY POLISHED TO A SMOOTH SURFACE.
THERE WILL ALSO BE A SLIGHT COMPROMISE IN BLADE OPENING SMOOTHNESS
FROM THE TITANIUM PART RUBBING ON THE BLADE TANG AREA.
POSSIBLY LUBE OR POLISHING THE BLADE TANG CAN HELP.

BY PURCHASING THIS SET YOU ARE AWARE OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED AND THAT
DAMAGE OR THE POTENTIAL FOR MISSING PARTS COULD OCCUR AS A RESULT OF TAKING THE KNIFE.

YOU ALONE WILL BE TAKING FULL RESPONSIBLY FOR ANY SUCH DAMAGE OR LOSS.

(THE BENCHMADE WARRANTY MIGHT NOT COVER THESE TYPES OF MODS)

IF YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT IN TAKING APART AND PUTTING YOUR KNIFE BACK TOGETHER
(OR IF ANYTHING ELSE GOES WRONG), IT IS BEST NOT TO BUY THIS SET.

Once you have received a colored titanium product. It may appear to have lost color once touched,
this is only just the oil from your hands. If the oil has been cleaned off the color will come back.
Use acetone to clean the oil off the anodized screws. (but do not get this on the carbon scales).
Dishwashing Liquid and Hot water also works. The custom anodizing will look new again!

International orders are sent via Airmail and usually take around 2-3 weeks to arrive to you once sent.

Anodized Titanium Cleaning Tip:

To maintain the look of your new titanium parts.

Gently wipe clean with some Acetone but at the same time

be careful NOT to get Acetone on any Carbon or G10 knife scales.

Windex (safer) also works too but Acetone is stronger.

Dishwashing liquid and hot water also works.
