Platinum Silicones:
- do not become brittle or break-down over time making them suitable for long-term art pieces and molds
- platinum pieces have greater temperature and chemical durability than tin-based pieces
- platinum silicones have the greatest chemical, microbial, and temperature resistance, and generally remain flexible for years. In contrast, tin cured silicones tend to become somewhat brittle after a few to several years, and begin to split or tear.
