The summer of 1931. The wealthy guests from Copenhagen are back at the small charming beach hotel near Skagen, far from all world crises, horrors and problems.
They are once again ready to be looked after by Fie and her girls. But plans and intrigue do not take vacation.
Wholesaler Madsen has not given up trying to soap the young shipowner Morten.
Actor Weyse is suddenly forced to fight for attention when two of his colleagues make their entrance.
And Mrs. Aurland is secretly planning an increase in the family with the help of a man out of wedlock.
In the midst of it all, the political and economic realities are reminded when a German Nazi moves in and the hotel's sympathetic neighbor is hit by the crisis.
