Stunning 1950s 18-karat yellow gold and diamond compact, round shape, with a woven design and a crescent diamond set thumb-piece. There are a total of 12 diamonds estimated about 0.30 carats total. Stamped 18K in a shield like mark on the inner ring of the compact, Signed Van Cleef ET Arpels, made in France with a NY inventory number, comes in a VCA box. The entire piece includes mirror weighs 84.5 grams. The compact is about 2 1/2 inches across and 3/4 inches tall. Amazing woven gold design that made this piece flexible and durable - a piece of art that will be a nice treat to the discerning collector. Gold and diamonds are tested.
