Note:  AL6XN alloy is a super austenitic stainless steel with UNS designation of N08367 which exhibits good resistance to a broad range of severely corrosive environments, especially the chloride bearing environments. Compared to Hastelloy C-276 and titanium alloys, it has favourable corrosion resistance in many instances while it is much more cost-effective. AL6XN is a typical 6Mo stainless steel with high nickel and chromium content, as well as deliberate addition of nitrogen & copper(its nominal chemical composition is 46Fe-24Ni-21Cr-6Mo-Cu-N). It has outstanding resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion even at high temperatures.
