This is a rare March 2nd, 1942 programme (playbill) from the Wilson Barrett Company production of the DENIS OGDEN play "THE PEACEFUL INN" at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland. (The Original West End production opened May 28th, 1940 at the Duke of York's Theatre in London and closed June 22nd, 1940 after only thirty performances.) ..... The ensemble cast included WILSON BARRETT, RICHARD MEREFIELD, CASWELL GARTH, GEORGE LARCHET, PHYLLIS BARKER, ELLEN COMPTON, RICHARD MATHEWS, JOAN HARBEN and JOAN BENHAM ..... CONDITION: With the exception of check marks next to several names on the cast list, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
