If your aquarium houses shrimp or mollusks of any kind , please follow these precautions to ensure their safety:

  1. Rinse Thoroughly : Carefully rinse all plants before planting them in your aquarium.
  2. Test with One Stem : Introduce a single stem into your aquarium and observe your shrimp. If they begin swimming erratically or display unusual behavior, promptly remove the plants and place them in a separate container with fresh water for 48 hours.
  3. Re-Test After 48 Hours : Reintroduce a stem and monitor your shrimp again. If no adverse behavior is observed, you can gradually add more stems, continuing to observe your shrimp's behavior.

Important Notes:

  • Plants may require a 7-day soaking period before being added to a shrimp or mollusk aquarium to ensure safety.
  • In vitro plants are 100% shrimp-safe and can be planted immediately without the need for soaking.
  • Plants grown in greenhouses are often treated with concentrated fertilizers to promote faster growth. This makes proper rinsing essential before adding them to your aquarium.
