Encryption & More Encryption

Cloakey offers two ways to protect your data on your Cloakey drive. Since USB drives can easily be lost or stolen, you don't want sensitive data such are usernames and passwords to fall into someone else's hands. That's why Cloakey offers full drive encryption and a password manager.

Full drive encryption is available on Ultimate and Enterprise editions of Windows Vista and Windows 7, Pro and Enterprise editions of Windows 8 and 8.1, Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions of Windows 10, Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions of Windows 11, and Windows Server 2008 and later. Please keep in mind that if your Cloakey is encrypted, it cannot be unencrypted when using computers that don't support the encryption.

Because not all computer operating systems support the full drive encryption, we also include a password manager that allows you to store usernames, passwords, and websites in one secure app so you can easily log into your accounts without fear of being monitored.

During the setup process, Cloakey allows you to import your data from your regular browser. This includes bookmarks, usernames and passwords, and even browsing history so it's easy to navigate using the Cloakey private browser.

Keep in mind that this data will never be saved to the computer you are using when running Cloakey. All user data is kept on the Cloakey drive and no trace of your browsing is left behind.
