An open weave cotton cloth (mull) for good adhesive penetration, used in book repair. Its purpose is to add strength while retaining flexibility.
This is the same high quality traditional cloth used by the best book binders in the country.
ALSO used by dressmakers, tailors and cos-players for adding body to creations.
Used for reinforcement of the signatures spine in a casebound book. The super cloth forms the first lining of the spine on the book block. The excess (super hinge) that extends around 1" beyond the edges of the book block spine is used to attach the body of the book into its case.
