Introduction:
Heat Shroud is made from a high temperature rated glass fiber fabric with an aluminized outer facing. Same as Heat Sheath but with the added convenience of hook & loop closure design along the open edges. Without the need of removing one end of connected wires, cables, and hoses, simply wrap Heat Shroud around whatever needs protection and close edges.
Aluminized Heat Sheaths/tubes have a reflective aluminum layer on one side and heat blanketing material on the other. They are hand sewn together right here in China. They come in a range of sizes from 1/2 inch up to 3" in diameter They can be used on braided steel lines, oil lines, plastic tubing, wire harnesses, air Intake or Intercooler Pipe, etc... Anything you want to protect from radiant heat. They can handle 800 degrees direct all the way up to 2000 degrees radiant.
Feature:
The sleeve outside reflective gold film combined with the insulating fiberglass interior, protects delicate wire bundles, cables, and lines from damage caused by nearby exhaust pipes, headers or other heat generating components.

Note:
Not recommended for use on or against headers, exhaust pipes or extremely hot surfaces (The melting point of the Velcro fastener is about 325Fo) Can be used in about 90% of the underhood area when installed.
