Hyalite Opal is a type of opal which does not have the internal mineral structure made of tiny spheres that cause the play-of-color. Its is an opal that often form in a botryoidal or globular mass and is generally colorless like most common opal (no play of color). What makes this opal so special is it contains a small and harmless amounts of Uranium which reacts to the UV light. Once under the UV black light it will glow a brilliant bright green color just like the antique Uranium Glass from the past.
