What, Me Weary?!
Exhausted Slogan Button
A 1.25" button with the slogan What, Me Weary?!
A foolish-faced archetypal boy became the face of ‘painless’ dentistry ads in the 1920’s and onwards, with the catchphrase “What, Me Worry?” The image and phrase caught the attention of Mad Magazine, who ‘adopted’ the artwork and named the boy Alfred E. Newman. The phrase “What, me worry?” became strongly associated with the magazine.
But when you’re too exhausted to worry, all that’s left is to be weary.
Too tired to rest, too stressed to be blessed, you just want to sleep and not have a thousand things waiting to be done when you wake. But you push on past it. You defy it.
What, me weary?!
