SM603 car smoke machine has pressure Gauge, flow indication and flow control, help you detect leaks better!

System Pressure Gauge: the Pressure Gauge displays the output of pressure of the machine if block the smoke outlet port,otherwise it shows the real time pressure of the system been testing.

Pressure Decay Tesing: this gauge can also be used to determine if a leak exists by switching of the air control while the system is uner pressure.if the guage holds the displayed pressure.if the gauge holds the displayed pressure,there is on leakage.if the displayed pressure starts drops,there is leakage in the system.

• No Leak: Flow Meter drop to "0"and pressure reading raise to Max
• Small Leak: Flow Meter stay between 0.1 to 0.5LPM.
• Massive Leak：Flow Meter raise and pressure reading drop to "0".

Flow meter indicates the leak size:

• P0456, the meter should be at 0.1 LPM EVAP for a .020 leak standard
• P0442, the meter should be at 0.5 LPM EVAP for a .040 leak standard

How to do Leakage Test with SM603 Vacuum Leak Tester?

Easy to use

1. Mount the hook,Screw the smoke hose to the unit

2. Fill 20ml test Oil（Baby Oil or mineral Oil based) into the detector.

3. Mount the shop air adapter and connect with air compressor,Turn Flow Dial to open.

4. Connect DC12V battery,Switch on the power at the back of the unit.then the Pipe will be filled with smoke.

5. Introduce smoke into the system,check the leak point.

Warm Tips:

• The oil level shall not exceed the level gauge and please do not exceed 15 ml when adding new oil later.
• Please do not to operate the SM603 evap system smoke machine continuously for more than 8 minutes.
• Before refilling new oil, please pour out the remaining oil in the detector, drain the old oil and then add new oil.
• Use mineral oil based smoke oil, do NOT use water based liquid, water based liquid will heat up quickly and lead to overheating.
• To ensure the safety of people and vehicles, the engine does not need to be ignited during use.
• If your smoke machine's fumes are discharged from the top of the machine: please turn on the gas switch first, then power on.

The Function of Operation Components of the Vacuum Smoke Machine

1. A - Oil Refill Port: For oil refill while its needed. The funnel is a nice helper to prevent oil from poured to the surface of the unit.
2. B - Velcro Strap: For collection of the smoke delivery hose, and power cord before storage.
3. C - Smoke Outlet Port: While set up the unit, the Smoke Delivery Hose need to be mounted onto the Smoke Outlet .
4. D - Power Socket: While set up the unit, the power cords need to plug into the power socket.
5. E - System Pressure Gauge: The Pressure Gauge displays the output pressure of the machine if block the smoke outlet port, otherwise it shows the real time pressure of the system been testing.
6. F - Flow Meter: The purpose of the flow meter is to provide a quick visual indication of the amount of smoke passing through the system being tested. If the smoke nozzle is in a closed system, and there are no leaks in that system, the flow meter will read zero (ball at bottom of scale). As the system is filled with smoke, the ball in the flow meter will slowly fall to the bottom of the scale as the pressure in the system equalizes to the output pressure of the unit. As the flow decreases, the output pressure will increase. If the flow meter ball never falls to the bottom of the scale, there is leakage or air passing through the system.
7. G - Flow Dial: The purpose of the Flow Control Valve is to decrease the amount of smoke exiting a leak so that its position may be pinpointed without the masking effect of excessive smoke. Turn clockwise to decrease flow, counterclockwise to increase flow. This valve is also used to lock out the system under test and observe any pressure decay on the pressure gauge.
8. H - Oil Level Gauge: While set up the unit, smoke oil need to be filled into the unit, do not exceed the MAX line. Check and confirm proper oil level periodically. If the oil level is lower than the MIN line,the unit would need a refill.
