This ceramic embossed stein is numbered 057565.  Two whales adorn the stein's lid.  These symbols were originally woven into a blanket by the Chilkat peoples of the Tlingit.  The stein handle is a Tlingit painted paddle from the North Pacific area used as a design in totem poles.  The wave around the bottom rim decorated their fish trap baskets.  The stein measures 5 1/2" high, 4 1/4" wide at the handle and 3 1/4" diameter.  It's beautiful and in very nice condition.  There are no chips or cracks.  The lid is a little loose.
