Rare Antique De Luxe Precision Built Sewing Machine Household Electric Japan.
So you know what this is if you are looking. After World War 2 the United States occupied Japan in a process called reconstruction. The US military rebuilt Japan bigger and better than it was before. This included the rebuilding of its manufacturing sector.
A line of sewing machines based on Singer models was one such sector of manufacturing that the US established in Japan. These sewing machines had numerous "brand" names. The Precision badge appeared on all of them though. Some were more rare than others. The "Household" plated machines were one of the more rare sewing machines that ce out of the Japanese industry. In addition, Japan produced very high quality item from glassware to electronics. This is not to be confused with the cheap, poorly made items coming out of China.
