New Matched Trio (3 pcs) Genalex Gold Lion CV4004 Short Plate 12AX7 Vacuum Tubes

Genalex Gold Lion is the flagship brand among Electro-Harmonix products and it’s no wonder. They started by offering the standard long plate 12AX7/B759 which, while an excellent tube, tends to be a bit noisy. The Genalex CV4004 was designed with the same high standards as the long plate 12AX7, but offers improved a significant reduction in noise and microphonics. The short plates and spiral filament help cut down on noise.

The CV4004 designation is simply what that British called their short plate, low noise 12AX7 in the 1950’s. This is the same tube as a 12AX7, 12AX7A, ECC83 etc and will work in any amplifier that calls for them.

This is the real deal, made in Russian and NOT China. 

Testing and/or Matching

Tested and/or matched at full operating voltage on a Maxi-Matcher Preamp tube tester for both Gain and General Mutual Transconductance (Gm)

We always TRY to match by 5% when we can (90% of them time) but our cut-off matching parameter is +/- 15%

All new production tubes ship for free so we do not combine shipping on new production tubes. We still combine shipping with vintage tubes.


All orders before 1:00 PM EST ship same-day. All orders shipped within 1 business day.

 

Domestic & International buyers can choose USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail.

USPS First Class Mail is our default shipping method. Other options available only by request.

International orders will be shipped by USPS First Class Mail International by default, which is the cheapest possible way and you do get what you pay for. This shipping service is very cost-effective and extremely safe, but you will not be able to track your package. It usually takes 3-6 weeks for a First Class Mail International package to arrive, but can take UP TO 3 MONTHS FOR DELIVERY DUE TO CUSTOMS, ESPECIALLY IN CERTAIN STRICT COUNTRIES LIKE RUSSIA, CHINA OR BRAZIL.

We guarantee all of our shipments, but we do ask that our customers wait 90 days before we grant a full refund due to a lost package. We have shipped thousands of items internationally using First Class Mail and while we have had plenty take several months to arrive, we have had less than 10 actual lost packages.

All of our products are guaranteed unless otherwise stated. We do not accept returns on the subjective basis of sonic qualities. All items all guaranteed to be as described and free of any electrical or operational faults such as shorts, low test, microphonics, noise etc. Returns will be accepted for tubes that don't test as described in most cases, but we reserve the right to refuse a return if the tube was not tested properly by the customer; We also reserve the right to refuse a return if it is clear the item was used improperly. For example-a tube installed in the wrong amplifier. We will not accept returns for any cosmetic issues such as crooked bottles, dirty glass, poor boxes etc, unless item condition differs from the description nor will we accept a return for buyers remorse. If you bought the wrong item, you may return it but we will charge a 15% restocking fee.

Vintage & NOS tubes are guaranteed for 30 days from the date of purchase;

New Production tubes are guaranteed for 90 days.
