Soviet Armoured train of type OB-3

The OB-3 is a Soviet armored car of the interwar period and World War II. Serial production began in the second half of the 1930s. The armament consisted of one or two 45 mm cannons placed in rotating turrets and 5-6 7.62 mm DT machine guns. The crew consisted of 10-12 people. The OB-3 Dreisin was built on the basis of a two-axle freight car with a carrying capacity of 1,500 kg. Armor plates with a thickness of 30 to 40 mm were added to this carriage and, depending on the modification, one or two turrets, which housed the main armament of the Dreisin. It is worth adding that it was placed in the same turrets that were installed on the T-26 mod. 1933. The OB-3 Dreissins took an active part in the beginning of the German-Soviet War of 1941-1945, and their production at that time was carried out, among other places, in Leningrad and Moscow.
