| Luxman L-48A Duo-Beta: |
Description
This Luxman L-48A, released in Japan in 1980 during the “Golden Age” of Japanese high-fidelity audio equipment, is a superb Japanese vintage integrated amp that features Luxman’s famous and ground-breaking “Duo-Beta” circuit. The concept behind the “Duo-Beta” circuit is that negative feedback (used in most amplifiers to enhance amplified components) is applied with individual gain to two discrete frequency ranges to condition waveforms for listening. As a result, the amp produces an exceptionally smooth mid-range, while keeping the low frequencies focused and articulate. The L-48A features a certain quality of construction you can immediately notice, and audio reproduction that is absolutely stellar.
This unit is in very good condition, and shows some natural signs of aging and use, including some scratches and discoloration on the wood panel, and coloration and oxidized on front panel (please see photos). It has been thoroughly tested and checked by our professional in-house technician, confirming its flawless working quality.
