This is a Vintage book, PBB Antony and Cleopatra – 1961 Illustrated The Folger Library General Reader’s Shakespeare. General editor Louis B. Wright Assistant Editor Virginia A. LaMar. Washington Square Press, Inc. New York. 143 pages. Some of the preface “This edition of Antony and Cleopatra is designed to make available a readable text of one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays. In the centuries since Shakespeare many changes have occurred in the meanings of words, and some clarification of Shakespeare’s vocabulary may be helpful…etc.” Measures 6.5” tall and 4.5” wide. Outside cover has some wear from age. The corners and outside binding have been taped with black cloth tape (looks pretty good). Has some scruffs, fading, and some smudges. Has stamped inside book “ No longer the property of Wichita Public Library”. Inside cover still has the card holder. Inside pages have some wear from use; bending pages, some pencil writings, and maybe a couple of small tears that was missed. The black and white illustrations are beautiful! Sell at auction “as is”.
